About You
It was an amazing experience for me. A lot of new information, training sessions and helpful colleagues. I definitely loved the internship and will be happy to return to the company soon. Being my first international experience, I was able to feel that both the HR and my team are doing their best to make all the interns feel included. I loved the atmosphere and the tasks I have been assigned on. As a result, I can only recommend the bank to my friends
I felt valued during every step/task at the firm. I was always receiving feedback after I completed the task and this made me feel that I was also contributing to the projects. Moreover, weekly calls with the HR and development officers have definitely made me realize that I am also a valued member of the team, even of such a junior level. Lastly, having spoken to the directors, I was able to receive feedback and sense of gratitude.
There was a lot of guidance from every team member in the Natural Resources Group. Weekly calls with directors, feedback from analysts and associates were invaluable for me. Moreover, the first three weeks of training sessions provided interns with the tools to succeed on the desk and at the same time meet with fellow interns. Last but not the least, case studies from both the HR and internal team were all done by me with the support of seniors.
Even though I have already finished my studies, I think that the skills I developed, and the information I received will be of great value for me in the future. In this sense, my self-study toolkit has broadened even further, which will allow me to successfully learn and study new skills that will be useful throughout my career progression. Lastly, working with information aggregators would assist me with my further projects, even if it's not related to my degree.
The Company
The virtual experience was very well structured. We first had three weeks of training sessions before we could join the desk. During the training sessions, we had a chance to gradually learn about accounting fundamentals, financial modelling, working with internal data sources and tools used in the Microsoft Office. This was very well taught with a great degree of gamification. As a result, I was able to quickly implement and use the knowledge I learned when I joined the desk.
The general atmosphere during your virtual experience was more than amazing. Being my first international experience, I was able to feel that both the HR and my team are doing their best to make all the interns feel included. Even though the experience was virtual, I was able to connect with every member of my team and even speak to the directors. As a result, I understood the internal team culture and was amazed at how friendly and helpful everyone was.
