About You
HR, Graduate Committee and employees from all asset classes put together an amazing program. I was first disappointed not going to London but finally I think this summer internship made us discover even more of Citi and how it is organised internally. It helped us get the big picture before going on the Floor. We really learnt a lot everyday around kind and supportive people.
I really enjoyed Citi's culture, valuing each of us, embracing diversity and hosting it as a key asset and secret of success. I can't count how many time I heard employees saying what they prefer in their job are the people around them and in their team. We felt very welcomed.
HR were very supportive since the beginning of the process at the assessment center. They explained us clearly what was to come and always came with answers even though we were facing a period of uncertainty due to the pandemic. Beyond that, every employee from analyst to head were available, always happy to answer questions or support ourselves.
As the program was very broad, I am not sure we will exploit all the knowledge we received or go deeper into each subject - but it was super useful to get idea of each sector and to discuss further with employees whenever we were more interested in a specific topic.
The Company
The program was well balanced with presentations, and projects we have to do ourselves. Some days could have been a bit long going from presentation to presentation, but we were always encouraged and welcome to ask as many questions as we wanted. We also had few slots to network across Citi.
I felt comfortable with everyone at anytime, surprised how people were open and available, making things really natural, and making us feel valued and welcome. It was a nice experience to meet such passionate people in a simple way. Finally, maybe being far from each other helped us building even stronger bonds with Citi and among our intern class.
Lot of Q&A sessions were organised and we were free to reach as many people as we wanted - and among them analysts - to help us get an idea of how it would look like to join them full time
On top of "technical" sessions we had lot of panels helping us get the "life at Citi", how inclusion and diversity is valued and which network we could find.
Really helpful - we have been deep into some desk and sometimes got a clear idea of how a typical day could look like.
Everything Else
Attractive pay - on top of that even though the program was shortened from 10 weeks to 5, we got paid for 10.
We had specific schedule for networking and were also able to do this is our free time. However I would maybe have enjoy a bit more free slot to network.
We had presentation panel on how to get involved further in Citi culture
