The Role
Despite the remote format, a result of the times, the internship exceeded expectations
Everyone took the time out of their days to speak with us and make sure we were having a positive experience.
Cohesive guidance setting clear goals/intermediate targets however not overbearing given room for independent creativity and ability to learn for myself what practices/styles work best for me.
The workload was manageable and will be useful going forward
Significant responsibility as a level of self-dependence is expected in order to trust interns on work products. However the willingness to help when stuck was certainly available and insights/views were always shared where appropriate.
Very relevant to my finance degree as I put into practice the topics I learned in university.
The Company
Colleagues were willing to chat and enthusiastic to get to know me.
Very well structured; staffers arranged our calendars in a structured manner and were meticulous about giving us feedback and receiving/implementing our feedback.
Very highly, the amount of time the junior bankers spend explaining details, and senior bankers take to introduce themselves and share wisdom is not comparable to previous work experiences I've had.
Company Parties/Events
Working from home
Very appealing; team constantly communicates that the internship is a two-way interview process for full time hiring.
The Culture
Relatively limited due to remote format. But conference calls and zoom drinks arranged.

N/A
Various networks for various causes presented to us. The rest is fairly informal and team-specific e.g. we had a virtual escape room team activity.
