The Role
I enjoyed it as it was a first experience in sell side for me and despite the virtual system it was a very successful introduction to it.
They all took the time to exchange with me by setting visio conferences or calls. They took the time to ask me questions to know better about my knowledge and my background and were Keen to organise training through teach-in sessions
My Manager during the internship organised an every day program with and objective to reach each day, the people to meet to work and it and few projects to deliver.
Thanks to my manager program I was busy all day long by working on project assigned, exchanging with people from my team and other teams, trying to work on technical skills and to understand the business specificities
It was difficult to get any responsibility as a summer intern, especially into this virtual context. But when few task were assigned to me I had the 100% trust from the people of my team.
This experience was first a way to inters and the sales side business : jobs, teams etc. Then, through my rotation on the Crédit Sales desk, I clearly enriched my skills on Credit asset class getting new analytical tools, mathematics and working on several products (HY, IG, Derivatives)
The Company
Really nice, with a great interaction between all the member of the team through every day meetings etc
Really well organised by HR team with a first week dedicated to the company values and culture. The two following weeks dedicated to training and financial mathematics and products. This first part gave us the ability to start with a strong technical preparation our internship and to know deeper about the company ambitions and sepcificities
I had the chance to receive general training organised by HR team during the first part of my internship. Then my manager organised a training program where I received a training on a defined subject by a different member of the team
Company Parties/Events
Really nice as the company gives everything to introduce new joiners to its values and culture. Then at the end they offered positions for the graduate program
