About You
Interesting insights into the business and insightful discussions from speakers. The workshops were well-led and engaging, and not too formal.
The whole event felt like an invitation into the business and everything felt like it was tailored around our different functions and interests as individuals.
Sessions were well led and engaging. All questions were answered and session leaders were very supportive and responsive if you had questions.
I obtained some interesting insights for my disseration and the employability skills will come in useful in the future.
The Company
Fantastic atmosphere: there was a sense that everyone genuinely just enjoyed working together. There were however some dull periods just due to the length of some of the sessions.
Considering I have only had a Spring Placement and now the virtual insight, and therefore am a cost to the company more than an asset at this point, it has been nice to feel wanted and valued by the business! The resources have been incredibly useful and will be applicable throughout life.
It was interesting hearing from those on the graduate scheme, however it remains difficult to discern what having a full-time role in the company would be like.
Observing how employees interact and their light-hearted, but also functional approach to work was a good insight into the company's culture. Also the Purpose workshop and the visible engagement with it by current employees highlighted the company's regard for each individual employee.
I felt it was more of an insight into a specific career pathway, rather than something that guided my broader options.
Everything Else
Bit limited being a virtual insight, but the social event in the evening provided a sufficient opportunity to meet and network with people.
