The Role
It was very well organised and we got to do alot! But it was very tiring!!
I felt a bit of an outsider at first as I was from another country, but once you spoke up you were listened to. There were definitely 'alpha' females there though.
The work shadowing was great and very well organised. Was told exactly what the department did. All directions, etc, were very clear. Only one criticism in that the corporate banking game wasn't explained thoroughly enough.
It was very busy but I definitely was not bored.
Only opportunity to show responsibility was showing up on time and travelling to the Thames for a boat cruise...it wasn't that kind of placement.
It was brilliant and very useful for my degree. The things I learned will definitely help me in my impending exams!
The Company
Work shadowing had a really nice atmosphere there.
Very well organised but just a bit too much info to take in sometimes, especially on the first day.
It was as much as they could do in 3 days of an internship!
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Was an interview at the end so opportunity is there.
The Culture
Went for drinks the night before and last night.
Quite expensive...but it IS canary wharf after all!
Great buzz about the place!
Not much but everyone was too tired anyway!
