The Role
A working environment of teamwork and excellence. You are both challenged and supported and leave a better person with greater skill set.
The work you do is meaningful, while mistakes are expected and used as opportunities to learn.
The support network you have is complete - you have HR, a buddy, a line manager, your team, and the other interns.
Some days are always going to be busier than others, but this comes down to you. If you have little to do it is important to ask for more work.
I participated in and led calls with large corporations, and the work I produced was used in client meetings.
It brings the theoretical work of your studies into the real world, and adds further drive to do well in whatever studies that remain.
The Company
Hugely positive and supportive (despite being virtual!)
Incredibly well organised. The virtual setup was new for everyone, but the work that had gone into the internship before it had started was obvious.
We had many training sessions on asset management, presenting skills, and mentality. There was also talks from a range of people within the company. They properly invested in us.
Working from home
They seem to be good. Schroders employs from within and invests a lot into you from the start.
The Culture
Despite the virtual nature - weekly intern zoom calls allowed for a social element.
Worked from home.
N/A
Weekly informal intern calls.
