The Role
My experience has been really engaging fro both a professional and personal side. My superiors helped me to make the most out of the experience and treated me in a fair way.
They I've been using a lot of their time in order to make my experience as formative as possible. In doing that I felt valued in what I was working on at the bank.
My line manager has been very supportive during this experience, he was always available to talk in case I didn't understand something and was always there to clarify the work he wanted me to do.
There have been different kind of days but I can say that on average I was busy but I've never felt stressed while working and that's why I enjoyed my time so much at the bank.
I felt that during the last three weeks of the six I've been given work that impacted all the resilience team. I felt that my line manager was trusting me as one of the members of the team.
The training received was of a very good quality. Some sessions were more interesting than others but I've always followed them with a lot of engagement. In the normal work that my line manager assigned to me I have learned a lot about resilience even if the tools we were using weren't too technical (I've mostly worked with excel).
The Company
When I first joined the bank I feared that people would be strict and weren't interested in my development. Right away, my manager and his colleagues made me feel like i was one of them. More particularly, I liked the informal check-ins that the Director of my team organized near lunch time to get on with people lives, to have that chit-chat that usually lighten the tension at work.
I think that, even in challenging times like this, the work has been well organised. I had to both meet the deadlines and requirements of my line manager and attend the very interesting all interns sessions.
The company offered the interns the possibility to use a learning platform to extend our technical knowledge during this internship.

Working from home
I don't really know if I would what to start working next year because I really love what I'm studying. Anyway, if a company has to be chosen Barclays would be my go-to for sure.
The Culture
Yeah, there was. The other interns had different cultures and experiences from mine and i think that we were able to enrich each other during the course of this internship.
