The Role
It was a really good experience. One which I would definitely repeat given the chance.
Everyone was incredibly kind and friednly and actually took the time to speak to us, it actually felt like they had an interest in us.
Everybody wanted to help us out, nobody seemed reluctant to give us advice.
It was very intense, but nothing unmanageable!
It was an insight week so there wasn't really much responsibility given, however we did get given a few tasks to complete.
I definitely learnt a lot from the experience and it really gave me an insight into finance and CITI
The Company
It was a really nice atmosphere. Everyone was enthusiastic and friendly. Definitely a place you could work!
There was evidently a lot of preparation put into organising the placement and it ran really well.
There were always lots of employees there who had taken time out of their day to meet us.
Company Parties/Events
Quite a few people managed to get fast track status, giving them the chance to go straight to an assessment centre for a summer internship. But I know of nobody who got a straight offer for an internship.
The Culture
They set up networking events for example a River Thames Cruise to enable us to all meet each other. Also, a lot of participants were staying in the same hotel so we could meet after work for drinks.
The cost was high, but most of the socialising we did was funded by Citi.
Didn't really get chance to experience the nightlife properly because it was an intense schedule.
As said before, there were networking events.
