About You
It was a good opportunity to get to know the company and the Global Data as well as Analytics & Sales divisions better. I enjoyed the insight and it was definitely a very valuable experience.
I felt valued at Bloomberg at all times - they have a very appreciative company culture.
It was enough support/guidance. If we had any questions, we could always ask them and many staff members were available to help us at all times.
Knowing about the Terminal and basic financial and technical concepts is extremely useful for all future careers, especially in finance. I think the skills developed are extremely valuable for my future - in university and especially beyond that.
The Company
The insight was quite well-structured, although not perfectly structured. This is, however, critic on a high level as we still knew at almost all times what to do and where to go.
The overall atmosphere was great. The team put a lot of effort behind the insight and everybody at the company we met was truly willing to help and support us. The atmosphere was professional yet casual, and we had great fun.
Many resources were invested to help us develop personally and professionally. We had sessions on the Terminal, and interactive exercises in different divisions to help us grasp and apply the introduced concepts better.
We got a very good idea of Bloomberg as an employer - both the potential tasks and the company culture.
It helped a lot. I now have a good idea of the firm's values and its culture.
The content was valuable in helping me decide on a career path.
Everything Else
No expenses incurred as the week was entirely online due to COVID-19, but as far as I am aware, the firm normally does reimburse all expenses related to the insight.
Due to COVID-19 and the remote nature of the insight, networking was fully online. However, we still had the chance to meet many employees of the firm.
Yes, we had several social events (all virtual) - these were much fun!
We learned a ton about different activities one can get involved in besides work.
I can recommend this insight to friends interested in finance and tech. Bloomberg put a lot of effort into this programme and participants got many opportunities to get to know the firm, its divisions and the people behind the firm better.
