About You
I has a blast participating in this virtual experience. The team at Bloomberg did an outstanding job of making the interns valued and involved. The virtual experience was really well organised and the staff was really helpful at answering any kind of concern we may have. Doing it virtually was definitely a challenge, but Bloomberg went clearly beyond my expectations. Bloomberg made this virtual experience a lively and i feel really connected with my peers and employees at Bloomberg.
I felt the company really consider its employees and infighters. Every single time I had a question, the team really went beyond my questions to make sure I got a complete understanding. The team was making it easy to ask our questions even though it was held virtually. And most importantly, the team made sure that everyone had his/her voice heard. The company gave us a complete overview of the business it operates in and made sure we completely understand.
The process was smooth and the team helped us should we have any concerns. The team was also really comprehensive as a virtual experience implies some technical issues that may happen from time to time. The team remained patient, efficient, and demonstrated a great sense of adaptation when such issues were happening. The support was also coming from an exceptional help desk that customers and employees can reach all day. I had for example a technical issue with the software Bloomberg provided me at the begging of the internship but this issue was resolved in under than 5 minutes.
We received both soft and technical skills trainings by experienced professionals. Having a finance background, I felt I was in the right place talking to the right people in order to bring my career to the next level. As I said before, the team at Bloomberg made sure i received a full response when I had one. This insight week also taught me that I would like in the future to work in an open environment like Bloomberg is promoted.
The Company
It was very well organised from the second I received an offer until the end of the Summer insight week. For example before the beginning of the Insight week, we were offered the possibility to attend presentations about the company involvement in diversity and inclusion fields. We received all the information necessary to complete the insight week beforehand. The software used was also provided to su well in advance as to avoid any kind of last minute technical issue.
Everyone was really friendly and willing to help. I felt that even though the company hosted the Insight week remotely, I made long-standing and great connections with both my peers and the employees at Bloomberg. This was an open-environment for questions as well. Every person I talked to at Bloomberg really showed how this company throughout its core values is so unique. Everyone seems to love his/her job and this is really inspiring for students looking to start their professional career in the field.
The virtual experience was designed to make sure that we have a complete understanding of what it is like to work at Bloomberg. We had the chance to interact with a lot of speakers everyday who gave truly insightful details about their jobs and career-related advices. This definitely clarifies what the company is doing and how it creates value in its environment. The firm made sure to understand the tenants of each of its core division.
