About You
Was really insightful and a great way to see all of the different roles and breadth of opportunities within the company
Felt like they wanted to give us all of the opportunities to proceed to a full time role!
Lots - could reach out to any one who spoke to us at any time through IB, and the team leaders too were only an IB away
I don't have a finance background so I know that this experience has been invaluable to me in building my understanding of the financial markets
The Company
Very well structured, with lots of well timed breaks. Felt like a much better, more cohesive and structured experience than other virtual internships based on what my friends have explained their experiences to be.
Really friendly! Everyone involved was open and I never felt intimidated or scared to speak in the chat, and getting to know everyone else on the internship was really fun and interesting too.
A lot - I feel really valued by the company, and the phantom exercises and practice run throughs felt like they essentially training us to join them, which felt so nice as it really felt like they cared about us being involved with the company in the future.
The experience was perfect in showing the kind of working environment and ethos of the company, and we were able to speak to so many different people that it was definitely as if we were getting the full picture of the company.
By having talks about more than just roles and about other activities that employees partake in (like training, and BoB), we could really see the kind of attitudes that the company values, and gave an amazing insight into company culture. As well as this, the Diversity and Inclusion talks gave a great indication of how inclusivity and community is valued in the company too.
Very helpful - this has been my first real exposure to FinTech formally, and it's really helped me to know that this is what I want to do in the future. Along with this, we were given the opportunity to complete BMC, which gave a deeper education into Finance.
Everything Else
I wasn't paid (not that I was expecting to be) but the prizes and the amazon vouchers were SUCH a generous addition, am really grateful for the kindness in that department
Yes - anyone that spoke to us was just an IB chat away, and we could reach out at any time.
Great! The team building session was really fun.
Vaguely, but not much beyond BoB.
