    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the virtual experience?
  • Very much! With the firm being a top 100 undergraduate employer, I had high expectations and can say I was not let down! Everyone was lovely and supportive throughout and provided guidance when needed to help with the challenging yet rewarding work.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • Felt really valued! Especially as we had regular calls eith our supervisors and trainee buddy throughout each day and so it didn't feel like we just had work thrown at us for the sake of it. I feel they really valued us and wanted us to be comfortable in asking questions about the work or the firm.

    5/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the virtual experience?
  • Cannot flaw this at all. Amazing level of guidance through daily open and closes for any general questions with the grad recruitment team, and also regular calls with supervisors and trainee buddies. I was able to also call or email them if i needed.

    5/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • To a great extent- I know much more about the practice of law and how different areas overlap.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the virtual experience?
  • Really well structured. Plenty of time for our work and to network if we wished. Also had interesting talks on diversity for example so we could learn more about Dentons.

    5/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your virtual experience?
  • Again, cannot flaw the firm here. Both the Dentons team and all other vac schemers were lovely.

    5/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • We were not really formally trained. However, we had 2 calls a day eith our supervisor where we could be provided with tips and guidance, which may be considered a form of training!

    3/5

  • 8. To what extent did the virtual experience help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • Very much! I found out more about the work, the cuture etc. Everyone was open about work life balance too.

    4/5

  • 9. How much did the virtual experience help you in understanding the company culture?
  • Really helpful in this area. I learnt how committed the firm is to diversity and inclusion, something I think it does much better than many other firms. Everyone is also very supportive from juniors to seniors, everyone is lovely!

    5/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • It was very helpful! It reaffirmed my passion for commercial law. As we only had a short scheme, of course not everything could be covered in endless detail, but it still was great!

    4/5

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • Yes there were if you chose to take out the time to network. However, there weren't any formal networking opportunities other than with trainees to an extent.

    4/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • for those that existed, they were very fun!

    5/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • To an extent! Outside of the direct fee earning work learnt about quite alot. Learnt a little about other social events too- such as the Spring Ball

    4/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this virtual experience to a friend?
  • Definitely- top firm and everyone was so supportive. Helps put any nerves that you may have at ease!
