The Role
The placement was a good insight in work within an engineering consultancy. The variety of work, the people in the office and the variety of extra activities on offer made for an enjoyable year in industry.
Was made to feel extremely welcome and that my work was of standard and valued by my colleagues
I felt well supported. There is an expectation for the student to ask for help when needed but I always felt able to seek assistance
Varied on a daily basis - largely dependent on how busy the the wider group was. Never too busy.
I was given more responsibility as the placement went on.
Difficult to know at the moment, but I do feel that I've developed my ability to think of practical solutions to technical problems. I hope this will benefit me in future
The Company
I did have some trouble with HR prior to placement - in terms of location of placement and contracts etc
Sports and Social Club
Above 25 days holiday
Working from home
I was encouraged to stay in touch ti potentially secure a future summer placement role
