The Role
Great place to work and I've learnt a lot over the year which will stay with me for life.
Everyone really approachable and helped me whether I was part of their department or not.
Again, throughout the business whether I was speaking to my own manager or a business leader elsewhere I always received the help and guidance I needed.
Most of my work consisted of project work rather than the same tasks I would do everyday and put it this way I was never bored! I always had plenty to do and I believe this has set me up well for the world of work as I begin my career in the finance sector.
I assisted on a number of projects within my team and on many occasions left to make my own decisions, manage my on time and given the freedom to make an impression across the business. I also co-led on a business wide early talent project.
I was required to complete a yearlong module whilst in the business from my university, the insights I gained from day-to-day work really helped with this. I also think it will help me a lot as a I return to university for my final year in September.
The Company
Most days buzzing, I really liked the 'office' environment.
Plenty to do, lots of support and events organised throughout the year from our early talent manager.
I feel like I have learnt more in the past year in my placement than I have in three years at university.
Subsidised/Company Gym
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
I would have loved to have stayed with them on my return to university, however this was not possible. However, I would be interested in returning on one of their graduate schemes in the future.
The Culture
The early talent programme was great, I would go as far as saying I have made some friends for life from it.
Located in the centre of Newcastle, everything was reasonable.
Newcastle nightlife is great, couldn't recommend it more!
I actually support the early talent manager on a number of occasions outside of the business, especially at universities which gave me a great platform to work on my public speaking abilities.
