The Role
The overall atmosphere and people in Bank of America, made me to really enjoy my internship. I believe I got all the support and insight I needed. Nevertheless, it was a bit disappointing not to be able to see any desk work.
I felt very valued by both other interns, as well as all the people in my desk team. Everyone showed massive support and everyone was always considerate in regards to my work load and needs.
Although I hadn't have much contact with my manager, I got lots of support from him. When he had time, he was also reaching out to me, asking whether I need anything. I felt really supported and well guided during my internship.
It was very dependant on the time period. Nevertheless, I feel there was no perfect balance when it comes to work on daily bases, as I was either bored or too busy. The initial training period was very packed, also last two weeks of work were very busy for me.
I was given very little or even zero responsibility during my internship.
I believe the skills I've developed are very important both in my future studies and work, nevertheless I know that I've had sufficient level of these skills before my internship as well. I believe I've not acquired enough technical skills during my internship.
The Company
The atmosphere was amazing in the office. Everyone was very welcoming and always ready to help.
I don't believe the internship was very well organised. I believe there were many difficulties as the beginning when it comes to usage of different platforms. Also, there was no desk work during the internship at all. Moreover, there was lack of communication between managers, as different managers required different things from different interns.
I feel the internship was very valuable and tried to tech me a lot, nevertheless I don't feel that all of the objectives were accomplished.
Working from home
The future employment prospects are very applying. I feel very encouraged by the fact that I met amazing people there. Moreover, the values of the company match with my values. Also, from what I've heard the company offers good benefits and perks during employment.
The Culture
I believe the social scene was average.
I was supposed to work in London during my internship and the cost of living there is very high.
-
There were not many opportunities to get involved in the activities outside of work, due to the fact that it was a virtual internship.
