    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the virtual experience?
  • Very enjoyable virtual experience. Despite the difficulty of cooperation and limitations of a virtual internship, Tesco managed to organise socials so we can get to know fellow interns online. Also had wellness sessions to keep us in check. Highlight of internship was doing yoga with fellow interns - great to see engagement and collaboration.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • Though inclusive, oddly didn't feel too valued in the internship overall. Understand that COVID has been destructive in internship program plan, but I was not assigned roles which were of my top choice. Also, difficult to feel included in a large meeting with only 9 people showing on the screen.

    3/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the virtual experience?
  • Funnily received a lot of guidance and support in the beginning. Through the middle and the end I received less support and more spoken promises that weren't quite kept. A bit disappointing.

    3/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Definitely developed a lot of presentation skills as well as business skills. Learnt what matters a lot to large businesses such as Tesco. Was nice to receive e-Learning opportunities on how to better one's CV and interview skills.

  • Paid the promised amount even before COVID. Very compensating and understanding in terms of this aspect.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • Tesco employees are keen on helping. Got to speak with many employees from different sectors despite such being times, and gained much insight on different areas of such a big company.
