The Role
I greatly in enjoyed my time with Faurecia, they are very experienced at having placement students.
I felt extremely valued, I worked in a small office so I got to know everyone, and they all knew me too.
I had a very supportive manager who really helped me to develop throughout my placement.
I was always busy, at Faurecia the placement role is a real full time role that would have a permanent member of staff in if it wasn't for the students.
I was given all the responsibility of a full member of staff, I was able to complete and hand in work on my own, create and manage meeting and talk to customers on a regular basis.
On a placement you will develop many new skills that will be help you in your final year. For me I developed better communication skills, more attention to detail, more confidence and you create good industry connections.
The Company
I worked in a very fun and friendly office, we would hold regular charity events that were very team bonding.
My placement was well organised, Faurecia are very experienced in having placement and graduate students.
Faurecia did invest in me by training me to use all of their internal systems, however if you want to take your placement further you have to be the driving force and look for opportunities.

Working from home
Faurecia is a very large company with lots of opportunities in the UK and around the world.
The Culture
Within my office we regularly met to have lunch together and had a very fun Christmas party.
The area I worked in was Solihull, Birmingham, which can be expensive to live and socialise, however i commutated to work from outside Birmingham so it wasn't too bad.
The nightlife in the center of Birmingham is excellent.
Faurecia host many activities, including the charity challenge where you are encouraged to raise money.
