The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my work placement - everyone was very friendly and I got the opportunity to experience many sectors of the food industry.
Treated like a colleague rather than a student. I was given great responsibility over tasks and projects.
Lots of support and guidance from my manager - encouraged me to work with many R&D teams in the business to increase my knowledge and employability in the future.
I was involved in lots of projects, teams and product launches so there was always something to be done!
As time when on and I proved my trustworthiness, I was given more and more responsibility within projects - this included leading some projects to support the launch of products.
My placement has been instrumental in developing my technical and practical skills to support the success of my studies and future career. The presentation skills training that I received during my placement enhanced my deliverance of presentations.
The Company
Motivated and focused but also relaxed and friendly !! Everyone was up for a bit of craic when the work was done
Very organised for students - especially induction week.
I was buddied up with a mentor to support my personal development and career plan.

From a year of working in PepsiCo, its future employment prospects are very appealing to me! I find the work very interesting and the company treats their staff very well :)
The Culture
There are lots of student programs to get the students working together. The full time employees of the business are very welcoming and friendly to students - it is only a matter of weeks/months before the students are treated like full time employees !
Average prices - was paying above average for rent
Average nightlife - some decent bars and clubs ten minutes away in the city centre
Limited sports clubs and societies
