The Role
Well rounded oversight
Despite not having long to get to know each other I got on well with other students. The employees of HSBC that met/networked and gave talks were all very well selected and highly interesting.
Great guidance and opportunity to work out career paths from.
Busy, but not excessively so. One would expect to be kept busy and indeed the programme was packed but diversified.
Due to nature of programme little real responsibility lay on the participants.
Great skill building opportunities from interviews to learning more about the business
The Company
Very enjoyable, especially the trading simulation.
Well run, no major setbacks. Given that it was the first time ever run I was most impressed.
Great opportunity for meeting employees of the business and developing presentation skills as well as business knowledge
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
I have been offered a final round interview with the firm. There is little more one could ask for.
The Culture
Individuals were sociable and amicable
HSBC is in Canary Wharf, London so you are going to pay a bit more than other places, but there is a fantastic range of stores/bars etc in the immediate vicinity. There is very little that isn't on your door step.
It's london so hard to complain.
Good opportunities available. Due to placement length not practical to get involved.
