The Role
Despite it being virtual internship, I feel that I still got to know a lot about what it would be like to work there. People are super friendly and willing to help with anything. I know that the experiences really depend on which area/division you are with from listening to other interns but I really working in mine - Business Solutions and Tech.
I was given a lot of support and I felt that I could ask any questions but the feedbacks were quite slow.
I was busy at the beginning and towards the end. A lot of people were on leave or holiday and my role required lots of interaction with people so there was time when I didn't have much to do.
I was mainly given the admin work but I cannot tell if that's something that would happen in a normal internship or if it's because of the circumstances of working from home.
The trainings were good and consistent, it was clear that they really care about how you develop not as a professional but also as a person.
The Company
The internship was done virtually but general atmosphere in meetings was good and friendly.
Considering the difficulties they had organising it all virtually all of a sudden, I thought it was pretty well organised and the way it was set up was the best it could have gone, with the number of interns they had this year.
They invest a lot in personal training and development and everyone is really encouraging whenever you ask personal questions regarding career paths etc.
Flexi Time
Working from home
I think it depends on which area/division you are in but the general worry is that the FCA faces criticisms for lack of growth/ promotion opportunities but I know that they are aware of it and working on it.
The Culture
We couldn't have any social meetings during this summer due to Covid-19 crisis but I got to know more about the people I worked with during community project.

N/A
There are many platforms/ clubs to get involved in different activities but because of the nature of working from home, it was difficult to fully explore.
