    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the virtual experience?
  • The experience was very insightful and motivational. It provided a lot of guidance on both a professional and personal level.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • All the members of the FCA that we spoke to/interacted with encouraged us to ask questions and ensured us that any/all questions were valid. Additionally, all the members showed their gratitude for our participation and contributions.

    5/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the virtual experience?
  • I’ve received a lot of guidance and support during this experience. Ranging from how to conduct myself in interviews and professional settings, how to structure and answer questions, and how to overcome any personal doubts and challenges. I’ve been provided with multiple tools that I’m certain I’d use in the future.

    5/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • What I’ve learned and the skills I’ve developed will help me significantly in the future particularly when it comes to job searching and applications. This is because the experience has given me a good confidence boost and motivated me to actively seek for opportunities. The experience was not directly linked to what I’m studying currently so, naturally, it only helped academically to a limited extent.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the virtual experience?
  • Overall, I really enjoyed the structure since I was able to learn quite a lot in a short period of time. There was a nice balance of learning from members of the organisation and personal contributions or more hands on learning, such as the assessment centre. However, the timings of each section did not go as planned at times so certain things felt like they were rushed. Other than that, it was a good structure.

    4/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your virtual experience?
  • The atmosphere was incredible. You could genuinely see how passionate the members of the organisation were about the programme. They made me feel at ease and like I belonged. Additionally, the excitement and appreciation of the other candidates was great.

    5/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The assessment centre day was great. It was my first time participating in one so it provided me with a good insight of what to expect in future ones. I also received a detailed personal report of feedback on my performance on each exercise. Which I know will certainly help me in the futures. We also had a presentation and conversations on personal development and personal branding.

    5/5

  • 8. To what extent did the virtual experience help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • I had a limited understanding purely because of the fact that it was virtual. Expectedly, I didn’t get a full feel of the organisation as I was not physically there which is a huge part of it. However, the current employees sharing their experiences gave me some idea.

    3/5

  • 9. How much did the virtual experience help you in understanding the company culture?
  • The culture of the organisation, for the most part, was definitely evident during this experience. Very positive. But once again, since it was virtual I did not get a full picture.

    4/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • The content provided some direction. My rating here is purely personal. There are wasn’t much else content wise that could’ve been provided.

    3/5

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • There were not costs involved in the experience to be reimbursed.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • We were encouraged by members to connect with them on LinkedIn to build out network. We were also encouraged to reach out.

    5/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • There weren’t many, but this is mainly due to the nature of the experience.

    3/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • They provided some insight.

    4/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this virtual experience to a friend?
