About You
Great logistic, very helpful team. I was involved every day, and had a very intense experience even if it was virtual. The current circumstances were also an asset as I could attend many client calls and some senior managers were even more reachable.
The HR were very present and cared a lot about our feed backs. Everyone among my team was also available if I had any comments or question.
I received a lot of support and everyone took some time to answer my questions, not matter how busy they were.
I really learnt a lot in terms of precision and rapidity. It helped me to understand better some financial concepts and to have the opportunity to see how they apply in real life during deals.
The Company
The virtual experience was perfectly structured and I never felt that I was behind my computer was a burden.
The general atmosphere was good, with some team virtual events organized and everyone made some efforts to reach out to us and be available so we could feel integrated.
The internship was extremely involving.
Thanks to this internship, I completely understand what being an IB analyst at Jefferies means.
It helped me a lot but it won't replace the office atmosphere which is very important as well in investment banking, given the involving hours.
As I better understand what IB analyst at Jefferies do and also what their clients' jobs are, it helped me understand how my future career path would be shaped.
Everything Else
The salary was high, but it matches the involvement needed during this internship.
A lot of Zoom calls were organized to network within the company and we were strongly advised to reach out to different employees as well.
The Zoom calls were great, as the HR put a lot of efforts to manage them and lead the discussions. However, as it was via Zoom, it made things harder.
Not really, as the hours were very challenging.
Yes, I would definitely recommend this experience to a friend who wants to work in finance and does not know if he/she would go into an investment banking career.
