About You
Was enjoyable and informative and was nice how personal experiences were shared by the bank employees to make the insight week more relatable
As it was online there was a lot less of a personal feel however they did try to make a few stuff interactive
There was enough guidance to get through everything planned for us however, again, as it was a virtual insight there was not a lot of support and guidance neccessary apart from how to use zoom really
Some important pieces of advice for assessment centres and key skills that they look for. Brief insight into commercial banking/ chosen field.
The Company
Well structured week. However, it was only roughly 2 hours each day for three days so maybe it could've been condensed into 1 or 2 days instead.
Hard to interact with people on zoom especially as a group and lost it's personal feel. Maybe it would be nice to try and have a one to one talk with some people working at the NatWest group anf some other interns
Not much personal training as well never actually got to participate in any work that we would have to do as it was virtual. However, there was development of professional skills and using zoom to interact with people
Had graduates speak to us in our chosen field which was nice as it was easier to relate to them and they told us the sort of stuff the started out doing and about their progression
Lots of information about the culture of the company and it's purpose, the charity work it does and the role they play in improving society
As you only got a very brief insight into your field with no hands on work it was difficult to tell wether they career path would be for you or in any other career paths would be better
Everything Else
No expenses and reimbursements and it was online and virtual
Not much of a chance to network and meet people as it was online. Maybe there should have been some group work to make us all involved more and a chance to speak to people one on one
Didn't have many opportunities to network as it was virtual
Lots of volunteering opportunities that the bank offers
Was a overall good insight and some good advices and key skills highlighted. Got to learn a lot about the bank itself and what it does and a brief insight into your division and good to put on your CV and LinkedIn profiles
