About You
I really enjoyed this insight as it allowed me to understand better the purpose of NatWest Group and the role of a Software Engineer in the company. Everyone was extremely helpful, from the HR team, to the external partner that gave a session on Ethical and Social Responsibility. The overall environment was friendly and I felt very comfortable asking questions to the speakers. I really liked the fact that there were Q&A sessions at the end of the days to ask any general clarification.
I felt extremely valued throughout the Insight. I was part of the Software Engineering Insoght and the group was very small (4 participants). This allowed the Business Speaker Session to be very friendly and we had a lot of space to ask questions. I really appreciated the speaker words not only on the company Technology sector, but also her main tips on professional development, which will be useful in any career path. Even if the speaker is in a very senior position, she was able to make us comfortable speaking to her.
I really liked the fact that the group for Software Engineering was small. I was able to ask a lot of questions, especially during the graduates session. They were able to explain their roles within the technology sector and the previous experience that brought them to Natwest Group. They also explained the process from an Insight week, to getting an internship and in the end a graduate role. They were all very supportive suggesting us to continue networking and preparing for the assessment centre.
From the business speaker session on Sofware Engineering, we were given tips to enhance our soft skills and grow personally and professionally.
The Company
It was well structured as there were general sessions for all the participants of the different insights and sessions for the specific business areas.
Throughout the insight everyone was very friendly and available for any question.
Thanks to the tips from the Software Engineering session, I was able to have 5 core tips from a senior perspective that helped her got to her current role.
I understood the purpose of the company and how friendly the culture is.
Everything Else
They were involving thanks to the polls and the small groups chats during the Ethics & Social Responsibility session.
Yes, there is a network called "Workplace" that works like Facebook where everyone shares job related content. There are a lot of opportunities for outside learning as well.
