About You
Great flexibility between office and out of office I was able to attend 3 site visits which varied from commercial office space and industrial units in the north quarter. I enjoyed engaging with the colleagues and clients alike.
With limited time in the company it was tough to experience any work completion from start to finish, therefore hard to feel a great sense of value. Having said that from what i was able to wittiness and part-take in did give me a good feel of value.
During the insight I felt relaxed as the colleagues around me were very approachable meaning I was able to receive the support/guidance i needed.
Many skills that I already possessed were enhanced during the sight, such communication in the office and through technology. Research played a large part of the insight finding comparable evidence etc. New skills were IT based, using tools that I hadn't used before.
The Company
There was a structure in place but due to the length of time the insight lasted i felt that impacted the insight to a sightly weaker structure.
A positive, competitive and fun atmosphere. Colleagues were open and welcoming which put me at ease, in a working environment. Also I found there was a real mixture of colleges in terms of age and it was great to see how well they worked together and guided one another.
The company give me a great overview into the valuation department which was one i was particular interested me. They were able to give me tasks which demonstrate my skills, therefore allowing them to invest in me.
Currently in the middle of studying for a degree i was able to relate some of my knowledge with the tasks i carried out. It was a great insight into how I was going to be able to apply my knowledge in a full-time role.
The culture of the company plays a big part in the success of any business so when I learnt how the structure/culture its one that is rewarding, therefore drives competition within the company again leading back to the success.
Being in the office and working long side colleagues, meeting clients and seeing the start and end product, gave me a very real life feel of the career path i may want to go down.
Everything Else
