About You
A brilliant experience and one which was made a lot easier with such an inclusive culture that runs through each office. I was fortunate to undertake work which I haven't experienced before and the team were more than welcome to answer any questions I had.
Whilst I was working within the Development team, I did have the opportunity to undertake solo work and then present my findings. The value I was adding was rewarding whenever I received feedback on my work, even if it was critical as I will be able to learn from them going forward.
In terms of guidance/support it was willingly available upon request. The team had recent graduates and an apprentice who understood the position I was in.
Completing this industry insight was invaluable to understand how the real estate market and general office etiquette. This will be crucial as I begin to look for graduate jobs, in terms of how to conduct myself and the type of companies that will best suit me.
The Company
The insight was very well organised. There were frequent team meeting where I was able to voice my desire for work. I worked close to a recent graduate and each day I would chat with them to understand what needed to be accomplished that day.
The atmosphere was different to that of prior experiences, purely due to the Covid impact within offices. Despite this the office had dealt with it in a thorough way and the atmosphere was still amazing and of a incorporated nature.
The company set me up on several systems as they understood the value these kinds of systems were post graduation and they were happy to answer any questions I had.
Despite being a shortened experience during the Covid period, I was still able to understand how the office functioned and will definitely be on my graduate application list.
I was proactive in trying to meet as many people in different roles/teams as possible and just by speaking to them I was able to understand their passion for the company
Prior to the experience I knew I was on the correct career path for me. however this experience only concreted this.
Everything Else
On the normal scheme I will have been paid and reimbursed for my expenses, but due to the one week nature of the insight programme only expenses for transport etc were applicable.
Due to the Covid aspect, company-wide events were cancelled.
Due to the Covid aspect, company-wide events were cancelled.
Yes, by talking to some of the employees I understood that they had department days and sports teams to include office bonding.
100% the insight has been invaluable.
