The Role
Really insightful and provided good experience in the development team.
Very much so.
A lot of guidance was given
relatively busy. There was always something to do
Entrusted to work on ongoing projects and compile market brochures to be sent out to clients. I was given a fair amount of responsibility
Learnt how development, immediate and strategic sites, are sold and the process that goes into selling a site. Also, I learnt a lot about the new changes to the planning system which will be useful for my degree.
The Company
Given the problems surround Covid, the office was generally relaxed and people were friendly and happy to chat.
Again, given the internship was run in the middle of Covid, I understand the difficulty in providing tasks and work for me to do. However, the internship was well-run and my colleagues were able to provide me with some meaningful work.
Various departmental talks were provided to provide a further insight into different sectors of the company. Also, by providing me with some responsibility I was able to work on my soft skills and being able to work to a deadline.
Very much so. Savills are a brilliant company and have made me feel welcome and valued whilst I have worked there. I would be grateful for the opportunity to work their in the future.
The Culture
With Covid-19 being rampant during my time at Savills, unfortunately social events and networking had to be postponed. However, everyone was friendly and I got on well with the other intern in the office.
