The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my Internship at Citi. The work was very interesting and varied.
I felt extremely valued by my team, and felt the work I completed helped contribute to the team.
My team were very supportive, they helped me every step of the way and were always happy to pick up the phone and answer any questions I had.
The team all knew what work I was doing so I always had enough but was not snowed under at all.
I was given a good amount of responsibility but I was supported when i needed some extra guidance and help.
We had one week of training before starting on the desk. This was extremely useful as it helped me understand technical concepts and helped me improve my excel skills ready for the job.
The Company
Everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming. Despite it being a virtual environment, I felt I managed to still build a great bond with my team.
The Internship was extremely well organised. We got a preference of what team we would like to join and it was great to have so many zoom calls scheduled with different areas of the business.
We had a week's training at the beginning of the program to make sure we has the knowledge and skills required to help us with our time on the desk.
Financial Bonus
Working from home
I was offered a Full Time Capital Markets Analyst position upon graduation.
The Culture
Unfortunately it was a virtual internship due to COVID19, however I met up with some other interns at the weekend which was really fun.
I lived at home as the internship was virtual so I am not too sure.
