The Role
Thus far I have had a fantastic experience while interning at Savills, and have enjoyed my time significantly. I have been exposed to multiple aspects of the business, and have thoroughly enjoyed getting stuck into numerous projects which I feel have allowed me to make a meaningful contribution.
From my first day, my colleagues made me feel settled in instantly. At previous internships, there would be scenarios in which I wouldn't attain feedback for work I put significant effort into. However, at Savills, my colleagues have ensured to make me feel valued in regards to work completed, alongside give me feedback whenever they can.
Throughout my time here, my mentor has ensured to give me continuous guidance where needed. The team have helped me realize that no question is a bad question, which is important to as it has allowed me to thrive in projects taken, while ensuring that they are completed to the desired standard
I have been extremely busy. There hasn't been a scenario that I don't have something to do. In addition to this, colleagues have been more than helpful in agreeing to meet for coffee, and explaining to me the area of the business that they work in, which has been extremely insightful.
The tasks I have been given have all been meaningful, which is important as it has made me feel that I have provided value to the business. Thus, due to undertaking meaningful projects in under a week so far, I feel that I have been given large amounts of responsibility - which is fantastic.
The skills I have learnt thus far will prove to be very beneficial in the future. Specifically, learning how to create pricing proforma for looking at comparable property values, which will be important to understand at any property business I join in the future. Additionally, I have learnt key skills in research and analysis into numerous different property markets, such as BtR and PBSA, which will definitely be key for future employment.
The Company
The general office has been lively, even given the lack of employees due to Covid.
Extremely well organised. In my opinion, the most important thing surrounding your internship is exposure, and being given meaningful projects, which has been achieved from day 1. The mentor aspect of the internship has been crucial in sufficing this.
Extensively, colleagues have helped me wherever they can.
Very appealing, I will definitely apply for the graduate scheme.
The Culture
