The Role
I enjoyed my time at SAP thoroughly. The opportunity to get involved with real work from the very first week was a great contributing factor in my personal development. By spending a year at SAP, I had the chance to work very closely with both the senior leadership and the different sub teams within the sales team. This has boosted my team work ability and interpersonal skills greatly. Finally, the opportunity to get involved in different initiatives that the placement team organises is another way I had built my sales profile within the company.
I felt very highly valued by my colleagues , my work had provided great help to the team. The whole year at SAP meant I had an opportunity to really get to know the team and the wider members of the SAP family in the UK.
There was a lot of support given to interns by the management team. Some ways support was provided include holding one to one talk with my manger of fortnight time basis to discuss my progress, what I have been involved with and what I want to achieve next. Also, there was an opportunity to have dialogue with the placement team to discuss on how I could maximise my time at SAP and explore different career options.
I was busy on a daily basis because something would always come up and as there is a collaborative culture at SAP, sometimes I would need to do work which was for outside my sales team. Therefore, I was fairly busy.
I was given great amount of responsibility during my placement. From leading the customer relationship management process, to contributing in the GTM for our sales team and working on customer interaction , it was all very valuable in terms of my responsibilities.
The skills I have picked up like time management , organisation skills, leadership skills like taking initiatives will all contribute to my degree in terms of being organised , staying on top my studies and prioritising what needs to be done first.
The Company
The general atmosphere is my office was very family like. As it is open desk, everyone is very approachable and friendly. Outside work, there are several events always happening in the office which brings large aspect of the office together for some social time. The gym , the games room and the canteen are all places where it is very casual to get away from the stress of work.
The overall work placement was very organised. The placement team work very hard to make sure every year the placement programme is providing something different so that our experience is always different.
The company with very highly invest in you in terms of the working opportunity they give you, the guidance and programmes like sales foundation to really give you an insight into a career in tech and sales.

Very high, SAP provide a lot of opportunities in all parts of its business to come back and work for them.
The Culture
The social scene amongst the placement student was very good , we would always be together in what we did in terms of things like going out for socials, or christmas party and the farewell calls.
I lived at home but London is quite expensive to rent and travel around
it's very good. London is always very popular for nightlife.
Yes, there is lot of projects always available for anyone in the company to work in.
