About You
The placement was an extremely enjoyable experience. The company culture, office and people are fantastic.
I felt very valued by my colleagues. Throughout the week they entrusted me with working on real and important projects/ pieces of work and included me in the team.
Support and guidance was fully available as and when I needed it. But I was also entrusted and expected to complete work independently; which was great.
I was able to apply what I have learnt from my previous studies and experiences, work on real projects and explore/ learn new things. I feel that I have been able to develop personally and improve my skill set and commercial awareness. I've also been able to meet some great professionals and learn from their experience/advice. It has also been useful for me to be able to discuss my dissertation proposal with my team (as the question/ topic is relevant to their work). Overall the experience has been extremely beneficial.
The Company
The insight was very well structured. It has been absolutely brilliant to get into an office for work experience when most other employers have cancelled/ gone virtual. Savills' have done a fantastic job of preparing the office for Covid-19 and creating a safe and pleasant environment.
The atmosphere was fantastic. I really enjoyed working with my team and felt I was able to integrate with them well. With the large office floors and 'hubs' there was opportunity to network and meet different people from various parts of the company./
The company and my team put a huge amount of time and effort into providing the experience.
The insight was a great experience and very useful in helping me to understand what it would be like to have a full time role. The experience was originally planned as 1 month which would have enabled me to understand this in more depth; but with current considerations it is great that the experience happened at all.
The insight was a really good way to understand the company culture (which is great!).
The content was very valuable in both further reinforcing my strong desire to peruse a career in property and apply for the Savills' grad scheme.
Everything Else
Unfortunately due to Covid-19 many of the networking events that Savills' had originally planned had to be canceled. But there was still great opportunities throughout the week to meet professionals from across the company.
Yes! I spoke about these with the graduates in my team and they explained what they have got involved in.
100% It's a brilliant experience.
