The Role
I absolutely loved my internship at HSBC. The placement work is so interesting, and you get real responsibilities. There are a variety of projects to get involved with outside of your placement work which enriches the whole experience. The people and culture are brilliant.
The people are all so welcoming and invested in your development. The Emerging Talent team work tirelessly to ensure you get the most out of the experience and managers are also so committed to supporting you. There is a huge sense of value on interns.
So much support. You have a Grad Coach, an On Programme Manager (another grad), your placement manager, the Emerging Talent team - all of whom are always available and really listen and want to help.
I took part in an internship which was cut from 8 to 5 weeks because of COIVD. This meant I was very busy, but absolutely never bored and everything I did added value to myself and the company.
Networking, communication, Zoom, organisation and time management all developed so much.
The Company
This is skewed by the fact it was a virtual internship. However, the social calls with my colleagues were always a lot of fun.
Superb, couldn't have asked for more.

The Culture
Despite being virtual, we hosted so many virtual events and got to know each other so well. Everyone is so unique but very like minded and supportive of one another.
