The Role
My placement with Matalan has been an amazing opportunity! getting a real insight into the fashion industry, I have gained valuable skills that will help me in the future.
The Matalan team made me feel welcome from my first day, I was so nervous and they made me feel so at ease in an overall friendly, comfortable working environment.
Through constant meeting and one to one's I felt supported.
I was given clear daily tasks each day to make me feel like a valued part of the Matalan journey.
Working on live campaigns and projects made me feel a strong responsibility.
I feel much more confident in myself with the skills and values I have learnt throughout my placement and feel I have a much better insight into the fashion industry.
The Company
warm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
Very well organised with weekly tasks and meetings clearly set up in my calendar.
As well as one to ones with my line manager, we also experienced different masterclasses throughout the year to gain a set of mental and physical skills for future practices.

The Culture
Yes clear communication was made with the other placement students, days out and zoom calls.

I know my way around Liverpool including the best places for a night out.
