The Role
I enjoyed the placement and the wide range of tasks I completed during it. They kept the work interesting each day.
I really enjoyed working with my colleagues throughout the year and was very quickly made to feel part of the team.
My manager was very supportive and I felt very comfortable to go to him if I had any questions or problems along with everyone else in the department
There was a good work load given on a day to day basis but I think I enjoyed the work in the last 6 months more and therefore completed more work in that time.
I think I was given a good amount of responsibility and that made me feel like I contributed more to the company than I had expected I would as a placement student.
I think that hopefully it will have helped me understand some processes a lot more from experiencing them first hand and hopefully I can use that to achieve a good degree
The Company
It was very welcoming and I enjoyed the environment
I think it was well organised and if I ever had a question on what I needed to do I could ask someone
Each task I completed I would be explained the process and could ask to be explained something whenever I was unsure
Company Parties/Events
The work I did was enjoyable and I would have to see how well I do with my degree
The Culture
I really liked working with my colleagues and I would go to lunch with them most days and spoke on a group chat
The cost of living was quite cheap but I didn’t know anyone in the area so I would drive back to uni on the weekends
I don’t think there was any nightlife apart from a few local pubs
Yes there were various places I was invited through on networking events which were very enjoyable
