The Role
I've enjoyed my placement a lot at Accenture - this work experience gave me valuable insights into Consulting world, and let me experience that Accenture is such a nice organisation to work for. I've truly learnt a lot from my experiences and built on my skills further.
I have been supported by my colleagues very well. We had regular catch ups so my colleagues could chat with me and see if there's anything they could help me with. We became not only good teammates but also friends. My work has also been valued and given positive feedback by my colleagues.
My supervisors have been supporting me a lot during my placement. I could ask any questions to them and they helped me grow. They have also given me many advice on developing my future careers.
On projects, I always have tasks to do every day and I could finish my daily tasks/objectives on time.
My managers have trusted me and allowed me to communicate and present to client directly.
I have learnt so much and developed different skills in my placement, both soft (e.g. communication, presentation) and technical (e.g. coding) skills, which will definitely be used in and help me to develop my future career
The Company
My teammates were so fun! We had different types of outdoor socials regularly before Covid, and even when we were working at home since March, we held regular coffee catch ups and quiz sessions online!
I think that overall my placement experience was very well organised, from the offer holding period that my HR contacts would check in with me to the induction week which was designed to help us settle in our roles. Not to mention I enjoyed the actual work and loved my teams so much!
I had the chance to take Excel training, be certified as Scrum Master, and have access to countless free online courses. I think that Accenture truly value its employees and really invests in them that we have so many different types of trainings we can take and develop ourselves.
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
Working from home
Healthcare/Dental
I have been offered a graduate position at the firm and it's like a dream comes true for me!
The Culture
We had our interns Christmas party which was fabulous, and our regular socials, which were just very nice to get together with everyone and catch up!
As I was working in London, I would say it may cost higher than other cities. I didn't find socialising to be too expensive to afford, but rent did cost more than my previous living areas (although it was within my expectation of cost of living in London)
Definitely can find loads of places to go out easily
I was involved in couple of volunteering activities, and there are many societies in the organisation.
