About You
I enjoyed the sessions quite a lot. I think we got a lot of insight into various groups in the company.
I appreciate that despite the pandemic outbreak, BP didn't cancel the insight event and decided to change it to a virtual one instead. I think it shows that they care about meeting the expectations even of its youngest participants.
I think we received some useful advice regarding e.g. application process.
Unfortunately, I don't think it was sector-specific enough to give a full overview of what work in a particular sector looks like. However, I appreciate that the possibilities here were quite limited due to the online mode of the event. I really liked that we had separate rooms for technical interviews session - this way I could have some insight into interviews for my sector in particular.
The Company
It was structured in a series of webinars with Q&A questions on Microsoft Teams. I appreciate that the event was as interactive as it could be and we were able to ask questions. However, the sessions were quite irregularly distributed in time (probably due to lack of time to properly plan the event), making the structure a bit chaotic.
Overall, I enjoyed it and I appreciate that it was adjusted to fit the current circumstances. I also felt that all questions were welcome and that our expectations matter.
I think we received some help in terms of application advice and preparing for technical interviews.
I really appreciated that the presenters were graduates in respective sectors. It made each story really relevant and personal. However, I would appreciate if I was given (and shown, in case of a live event) more sector-specific information.
I think it was helpful. I definitely saw a supportive and inclusive community of ambitious people.
Definitely very informative of company culture and encouraged me to apply for a summer internship. Probably didn't drastically influence my overall career plans nor question me doing my degree, but I didn't expect it to do so.
Everything Else
I was paid as expected
We could ask questions or email the presenters, other than that not applicable (online event)
Not applicable (online events)
Yes, we were informed about social activities and special groups (e.g. for empowering women or ethnic minorities).
Generally, I would. I think it was very informative about the company and its culture, although I would like to see more sector-specific content.
