The Role
I truly enjoyed my Global Advisory Summer Internship at Rothschild & Co. The nature of the work coupled with the great culture at the firm made my experience special. The learning curve is very steep as I was working on multiple live transactions which enabled me to have exposure to senior bankers, clients and other counterparties involved in the deals. I also enjoyed the first week of training and workshops. It was really well structured!
Everyone in the team was very supportive and strived to involve me as much as possible in the projects the team was working on.
The team leaders were always available to help me while giving me constructive feedback. Moreover, every time I was given a task they were walking me through the methodology, which was very helpful.
As an intern I was mainly assisting the team on live deals, pitches and other research/database work. My typical day was quite busy as I was working simultaneously on multiple tasks which required in depth analysis and a very good attention to detail.
They gave me a lot of responsibilities and allowed me to work on very interesting tasks. I also really appreciated the fact that the team allowed me to participate in several client meetings - it was truly amazing!
I will definitely use all the hard and soft skills I developed during my Global Advisory Summer Internship both in my career and in my personal life.
