About You
I really enjoyed the experience.
I was well informed of the value of the project I was working on and felt well supported.
I had daily meetings with my supervisor and was able to message them and anyone else in my team on microsoft teams at any point.
It was very relevant to my 4th year project (e.g. using the same software).
The Company
Interns could have benefitted from talks at the beginning of the experience to do with economics, drilling, etc, so that they understood other disciplines well.
Very good. I felt well supported, got lots of feedback and was given an appropriate quantity of work. I really enjoyed the experience and gained a lot of knowledge and experience.
I had access to the learning portal and lots of modules/recorded talks so I could do many training courses. I feel the company invested a lot in me.
I spoke to lots of people in different teams and got a really good idea about what the company is like to work in. The core values were also brought up throughout the experience so it really stressed how work is carried out with the values in mind.
I began the virtual internship not knowing what I wanted to do and this experience helped me realise I would like a career in the energy industry.
Everything Else
Yes, I emailed anyone who I wanted to talk to and everyone replied quickly and all of them were helpful and answered any questions I had. There were also intern speed networking events.
Given the virtual nature of the internship, I thought they were quite good. I think more interns could’ve been encouraged to take part in the intern networking social, but it was very well organised.
Yes but briefly
Yes because I gained a lot of knowledge and experience and also enjoyed my virtual internship.
