About You
Although the insight week was virtual due to covid, they still ensured lots of opportunities to get to know other people on the insight week as well as network with employees.
I felt very valued, I could tell they put in lots of time and effort to make sure we didn't lose out due to the fact the programme had to be virtual because of covid.
There were lots of opportunities to talk to employees and ask questions.
They provided lots of clear and in-depth talks on different areas in investment banking, such as private equity, debt restructuring and M&A, which gave me a much better understanding of investment banking overall.
The Company
The programme was made virtual due to covid, and despite this last minute change, they made efficient use of the time and I gained so much information and got to know lots of people on the scheme with me as well as employees.
Everyone was very friendly and encouraging. I felt comfortable asking questions and motivated to work in investment banking.
They provided lots of talks and also gave sessions on how to give good presentations and gave us interview tips.
By the end of the week, I think I had a full understanding of what made Rothschild unique and what the work environment would be like.
I gained a full understanding of the company's key values and what the firm prides themselves on.
Very valuable, as I gained a thorough understanding of the world of investment banking and what it would entail.
Everything Else
The insight week was done virtually, but before it was made virtual the company did say they would reimburse for travel costs.
There were lots of opportunities to network and ask questions about their day-to-day life.
Mostly very relaxed and everyone was easy to talk to.
They had a couple of virtual workout sessions which they have for employees throughout the year.
I learnt so much in such a short space of time and made friends.
