The Role
The internship was an enjoyable and fulling experience. Although being virtual, I was able to build close relationship with colleagues and improved both my technical and soft skills. I highly recommend the internship to anyone who is interested in investment banking.
During the internship, I had the opportunities to work with almost all the analysts in the team. Everyone in the team was friendly and helpful.
I was paired with a buddy and a mentor during my internship. Although having extremely busy schedules, my buddy and mentor paid a lot of attention to give me support, guidance and advice
Although interning virtually, I was very busy during my internship. It was great that I was given a lot of responsibilities. However, good time management and productivity skills were needed to keep the work flow manageable.
I was given many opportunities to contribute my part to the ongoing projects of the team.
The internships not only improved my team-working and analytical abilities but also my financial technicals. The skills are extremely valuable to my careers in the future
The Company
The internship was virtual so I did not get the chance to go into the office. However, everyone in the team is friendly and sociable.
The program is structured nicely. Also, every intern was paired with a buddy and a mentor.
We received one week of training at the very start of the internship.
Working from home
Rothschild has a great reputation in the investment banking industry. The firms offer structured graduate programs with great career progression prospects.
The Culture
Although the internship was virtual, interns had a few meet-up drinks during the internship.
London might be one of the most expensive city to live in. However, at the same time, the city is packed with fun and gems.
London has great a lot of restaurants, night clubs and bars.
I can not really comment on this because of COVID disruptions
