The Role
I felt the job was very repetitive so it was a struggle to go in sometimes. Ocasioanlly I would be given a different task, but not often at all.
Everyone in the company is very friendly and I got on with everyone I met. However, the "interns" are not seen as proper employees
My direct Manager was keen for me to be independent. However, I did feel that they were very keen to give me as much experience as possible.
I always have work to do, but most of the time there are not strict deadlines to my work so I can take it at my own pace.
All tasks I was given, I was expected to take responsibility for, adn they keen for me to be independent.
I probably quadrupled my IT knowledge! Also, I learned how to behave in a work environment, conduct myself and how to write emails etc - I will use for the rest of my life.
The Company
Disney is a very fun place to work, with many intersting events and activities to get involved in. Everyone is friendly there and there is plenty of banter!
The HR department arrange mett up sessions for all the itnerns to meet up beforehand. Each department also arrange a handover between old and new interns to give as much help at the beginning as possible.
I was sent on an Excel course, and was taken to two meetings in Paris.

I would love to work for Disney again, and although I wouldn not want to work in this department if I came back, I have seen the departments that I would like to work in.
The Culture
Yes - there were 70 interns and we had our own Social Committee. We all had lunch together etc, and it really helped us network around the company as we knew someone in nearly every department.
Very expensive - rent and bills took most of my salary! I took out a student loadn, and I needed every penny in order to have a good time!
OK in Hammersmith - but most people go into Central Londno for a proper night out.
Yes - there is scheme called VoluntEARS, where you can voluntear to help your local community. There were also clubs run by people who work here, such as Football, crafts etc.
