About You
I really liked the Spring Week! I learned more about secure coding through Secure Code Warriors in a fun way. I was really impressed by all the work that was put into the event considering the Covid-19 pandemic. I was able to learn more about J.P. Morgan, like how they were going to become more sustainable by focusing 100% on this goal in 2020. What I also enjoyed very much was the tasks we were given on InsideSherpa because they taught me a lot as well.
I was able to ask questions and interact with the people working at J.P. Morgan. What I would have preferred is to have split into smaller groups to discuss in more depth about our InsideSherpa tasks, in case we got stuck, or just have a conversation with a J.P. Morgan & Chase employer in smaller groups. We were also told that we would get stickers and a t-shirt (since I got 3rd place in the competition) after the Secure Code Warriors competition. However these never came.
The only support I received to do my tasks for InsideSherpa was through the website itself. I had to go through the support system at InsideSherpa to get help. This could however only be done through messages, and the answers would take some time to arrive as well. I would have preferred if I could have talked with someone to better understand a task or just talk my problems through with someone to come up with a solution whenever I got stuck.
Secure Code Warriors was really useful to learn more about secure coding in general. This helped me be more aware of the security of my code whenever I was coding. I also learned some concepts through it which will help me for my Network & Web Security module I will have at my university this coming year. The InsideSherpa tasks also made me practice and improve my coding skills in python. Overall, the Spring Week was a very educational program.
The Company
The Spring Week was well structured. We had talks on the first day which were quite insightful about J.P. Morgan's culture and the work at the company. We then had to spend the next 3 days finishing off InsideSherpa and Secure Code Warriors. However we did not have any talks during that timeframe. Maybe it would have been more meaningful to have events throughout the Spring Week to signify the start and end of each day during there Spring Week.
The Spring Week had a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Everyone seemed very excited participating at this programme. I also really liked the Secure Code Warriors challenge since it made the days more exciting as we were playing with other people who also participated at the event. Even though the event had to be done within such a short timeframe, as the whole structure of the event had to change due to the Covid-19 pandemic, I found the event very meaningful, fun, and well done! Thank you!

Everything Else
The event was unpaid to begin with. We were informed of this before the event began, so we all knew that the J.P. Morgan Spring Week would be unpaid. This was no issue at all, since the event was very fun and enjoyable. It also taught us a lot about programming and working life at J.P. Morgan & Chase. So in my opinion, this event was like learning new things for free, so it was really good!

During the event we learned about the hackathons that employees could participate in. These hackathons allow employees to work on projects which could have a positive impact in the world. One example of a project is helping non profit organisations. This event happened quite a while ago, so I do not remember all of the details, but there seemed to be quite a few activities that employers can get involved in outside of work if they wanted to.
I would definitely recommend this Spring Week to a friend! Everyone seemed very excited participating at this programme.
