  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • A challenging and insightful taste of a career in Markets. While changed to a virtual format, HR and Management made the experience fantastic.

  • HR were very friendly and helpful. Manager and Team also played a massive role in my development and offering a unique and insightful program.

  • Daily feedback sessions with manager. Weekly catch up with teams and multiple 1:1s with senior management across all divisions.

  • Extremely busy. From morning call, to teach ins, to masterclass sessions and project work.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Responsibility was limited due to Covid and virtual format, but we were given full autonomy with our work and our ideas.

  • Internship provides valuable insight into the industry, key skillset and sector knowledge.

  • Hard to judge to virtual format, but everyone was very welcoming.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Fantastic. HR and program heads adapted fully in such a short period. Multiple activities, events, speakers, project work and networking.

  • Top of the line software training from Excel to Bloomberg. As well as personal masterclass sessions.

  • Working from home

  • Very appealing. Lots of opportunity within the role and even future mobility if desired.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Virtual format limited this, but everyone was welcoming and HR put on numerous events.

  • Very cheap due to virtual format.
