  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I extremely enjoyed working for BASF, it gave me invaluable experience in working for a huge global company and the skills I learnt will help me in my future career.

  • During my whole placement I felt that the work i was undertaking was adding value to the business and was appreciated by my colleagues.

  • Support was always available to me from my manager as well as other colleagues in the business.

  • There was always a wide variety of tasks to undertake and keep me busy.

  • At BASF you are given a great amount of responsibility in your work. It is the perfect of balance of independence and support, so you really feel when you complete a piece of work that it is your own and adding value to the company.

  • Due to the variety of work and work you undertake it develops many types of essential skills that would used in your future career.

  • Everyone I worked with was very friendly and I felt I could ask anyone for support if I needed it.

  • There was a set plan in terms of my integration into the company and events panned throughout the year.

  • I had 1 to 1 meetings with my manager to discuss my development and if I wanted to improve or experience anything specific, which they would accompany for.

  • There is a graduate scheme as well, which could potential lead to a full time job.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • There is an AIG (Apprentice, Interns and Graduates) group, where you can meet like mined people in similar positions to yourself.

  • Many nearby towns to live.

  • The best nightlife is to travel into Manchester which is a short train journey away.

  • There are sports clubs such as football that run every week. And social events between the colleagues.
