The Role
I extremely enjoyed working for BASF, it gave me invaluable experience in working for a huge global company and the skills I learnt will help me in my future career.
During my whole placement I felt that the work i was undertaking was adding value to the business and was appreciated by my colleagues.
Support was always available to me from my manager as well as other colleagues in the business.
There was always a wide variety of tasks to undertake and keep me busy.
At BASF you are given a great amount of responsibility in your work. It is the perfect of balance of independence and support, so you really feel when you complete a piece of work that it is your own and adding value to the company.
Due to the variety of work and work you undertake it develops many types of essential skills that would used in your future career.
The Company
Everyone I worked with was very friendly and I felt I could ask anyone for support if I needed it.
There was a set plan in terms of my integration into the company and events panned throughout the year.
I had 1 to 1 meetings with my manager to discuss my development and if I wanted to improve or experience anything specific, which they would accompany for.

The Culture
There is an AIG (Apprentice, Interns and Graduates) group, where you can meet like mined people in similar positions to yourself.
Many nearby towns to live.
The best nightlife is to travel into Manchester which is a short train journey away.
There are sports clubs such as football that run every week. And social events between the colleagues.
