About You
The sessions they ran to replace my internship were definitely good and I did learn more about the company and the job, such as what people do day-to-day etc, but it was nothing near a real internship.
I felt valued, we had a Facebook group that staff posted on and we got regular emails keeping in touch. Having quite senior people in the business talk to us also made me feel valued.
I had a one to one session with my mentor, which was nice but did not really offer support for the experience itself, was more about future steps.
I did not really develop any skills but I did get a really good insight into the business and job itself, which is useful for understanding what the job actually entails.
The Company
It was well structured, with plenty of warning before each session.
It was a very positive atmosphere where people were very friendly and casual.
Everything Else
We were given a one-off goodwill payment.
