About You
I enjoyed the virtual experience a lot. I was able to meet lots of representatives of CMS through it and still gain a good picture of the culture and type of work they do.
I felt valued as a result of the quick turn-around period of the application result and also due to the free goodies that were sent out.
We received guidance on how to use the online platform on an open-day before we started the program. Throughout the experience, we were given talks from CMS representatives and could always message someone from the team if we were stuck.
Having not studied law before, the skills I learnt were particularly rewarding and can now be used going forward into my studies.
The Company
The course was structured over an intense week, which was better than doing it for longer as it meant each day was jam-packed full of great activities.
The atmosphere was great, with friendly questions being posed around in the morning which would lighten the mood, then a visual conclusion by one of the CMS team to end the day which would always end it on a high.
It would have been better to go into the firm and experience it first hand, but as virtual experiences go it was the best the firm could have done in the circumstances.
Everything Else
CMS held a cocktails evening with the Executive Partner on the first evening, which was a great experience.
