The Role
Despite Covid making an in person internship impossible Centrica made sure we were all kept in the loop and supported throughout. I felt like they could have completely abandoned us but instead they ran interesting workshops and arranged 1 to 1 zoom calls.
They could not have been more supportive. Kept us really in the loop and made sure there were lots of communication routes available should we have questions.
As before, the supervisors were really helpful (a particular thank you to Abhishek who was super lovely).
Not really applicable as the majority of the internship was cancelled due to covid-19 restrictions so it was instead a series of workshops
Again, the internship was technically cancelled so not really applicable but I have rated it highly because of feb amount of participation. Everyone was keen to hear our thoughts and ideas on the workshops being run and the graduate opportunities.
I think that the main skills developed were widely applicable as they were in communication confidence. Right from the interview stages I felt pushed to be confident and get involved
The Company
Was all workshop based and online but everyone was very welcoming
They coped well and were very adaptive and flexible given the Covid circumstances. However, obviously the pandemic meant that there was a limited chance for pre-planning
Felt very supported. They kept us in the loop and made sure that we were learning from our placement.
I have accepted a job
The Culture
Lots of opportunities for zoom calls and group chats with other people on the internship so that was nice
N/A because was online
