The Role
It was great to meet a broad range of people and get to grips with a complex department that I knew little about before my placement.
I hope that I managed to achieve a good rapport. I was invited out for evening drinks, which was really nice.
They seemed very busy but were generally willing to sit down and explain different projects to me.
It depended on the day, but I would say I was busy on 3 out of 4 days.
It was difficult to gain a lot of responsibility as I was in a department that worked on complicated transactions. I felt like I was included and got a chance to see and help on work at different points during various transactions.
The research skills part of the first day was invaluable. I got some helpful feedback about drafting that will stay with me. It was really useful to see how colleagues interacted with each other.
The Company
People were very busy but always ready to answer any questions I had.
There could have been more explanation in terms of the project.
The research skills section was really helpful.
I would be very keen to work for them in the future. There as a great camaraderie in my team.
The Culture
My buddy was really good at inviting my to lunch. It was only a week so there wasn't much time for socialising in the evening.
Normal London prices.
There was a good selection of pubs and restaurants in the area.
I was invited to drinks with a few of my team.
