About You
It was very well executed and had all the personal interaction that a non virtual experience has.
I felt very valued as the work given to me was proper professional work.
The support was great - constant email and phone call communication and the opportunity to ask questions over email, phone call, and video call, at both scheduled times and whenever needed.
The information I received and skills I learnt will be very useful to the start of my career as a trainee solicitor.
The Company
It was very well structured, with a virtual social session before the start of the scheme to ensure we were all fairly comfortable with each other before the vacation scheme began.
It was a fantastic experience that I would highly recommend.
The firm invested largely in truly understanding what kind of candidate I was, as opposed to a cursory interaction.
I felt it helped me to understand what a full time role would be like due to my interactions with current employees, including the graduate recruitment team, trainee and qualified solicitors, and even partners.
The experience gave me my first insight into the company culture through my interactions with other employees and the chance to have all my questions answered.
It was very valuable in making me feel that my choice of career path was the right one.
Everything Else
There were social events and scheduled video calls to interact with other employees and to ask questions and clarify doubts.
Surprisingly interactive for a virtual social event, there were plenty of laughs and chats, a great amount of interaction.
I did find out about activities outside work, primarily through interactions with other employees during the vacation scheme such as my supervisor.
I would definitely recommend the experience as a great chance to get to know more about the firm.
